The cottage is situated in Cootehall less than 5 minutes drive to Lough Key and 10 minutes from Carrick-on-Shannon and Boyle. The cottage has all mod cons – Sky Q, WiFi, electric shower and modern stove with back boiler that heats both the radiators and the hot water supply (so it’s really cosy!) Both the King Size Bed and Double Bed have new Silentnight mattresses. There is also a cot available which fits perfectly in the King Size Bedroom. There is a high chair in the kitchen as well.
Cootehall village in County Roscommon, Ireland is located on the River Boyle, between Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon near Lough Key Forest Park in the north of the county. Cootehall is 4 kilometres off the N4 road from Dublin to Sligo and between the R284 and R285 regional roads. The Boyle River, which flows through Cootehall, connects the village with Lough Key to the west and the River Shannon to the east.
Lough Key Visitor Centre is very close to the cottage (5 km) as well as Boyle Abbey (10 km,) Carrick-on-Shannon (10 km) with many pubs and restaurants etc., and Arigna Mining Experience (15 km.) Cootehall and the area surrounding it is full of beautiful scenery with magical views waiting to be explored. Also with so many lakes and rivers in the area, it’s a perfect base for fishing.
